Jo Youle is a music journalist and broadcaster for BBC 6 Music.

For the past 6 years she has worked on the music news team reporting from gigs, International music festivals, events and awards ceremonies.

Jo also has her own show on Saturday nights in Brighton for Juice 107.2. Indulging her passion for re-hashed beats, every Saturday from 8-10pm you can catch The Remix for a two hour mash up , taking a trip into her re-jiggled, re-wiggled world.

In 2010, Jo set up Brighton Festival Radio for the month of May, the first 24/7 station, in more than fifteen years in the city covering the event in depth.

This year, as station manager, Jo returned to the role, once again injected her heart and soul into the project looking after teams of presenters, programming the output, booking guests, creating and managing the music library, and even hanging off the roof of Brighton Dome to fit the aerial.

Music PR and digital media is also another area Jo has branched out into the last few years making podcasts for The Smirnoff Experience series in New York, Paris, London and Shanghai.

More recently Jo produced a series of podcasts for the Smirnoff U. R. The Night campaign at the recently closed superclub Matter in London.

She also fronted a series of webcasts for San Miguel Hidden Depths music events in 2008 interviewing everyone from Grandmaster Flash to the Disco power house that is the Glimmer Twins and several for the BBC – take a look here.
